Joint Task Force-Space Defense members share unit's heritage with Space Force leaders.

SCHRIEVER SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. - SCHRIEVER SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Joint Task Force-Space Defense leaders provide an overview of the organization’s origins to U.S. Space Force Integration and Digital Transformation office representatives in their Heritage Room at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, Apr. 1, 2022. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Tom James, JTF-SD commander, and U.S. Space Force Master Sgt. Ryan Herter, JTF-SD Current Operations senior enlisted leader, briefed Dr. Lisa Costa, the Space Force’s first permanent Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, and members of her team on the unit’s joint makeup and shared the story of its operation’s floor namesake.
