CIC members gather for CONOP development

Members of the Commercial Integration Cell pose for a photo during an Operational Concept of Operations (CONOP) development workshop Mar. 7, 2024, at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif. The two day workshop was designed to bring together key stakeholders from the Combined Space Operations Center, U.S. Space Forces-Space and commercial mission partners to collaborate on a formalized CONOP that would align the collective vision for the CIC. During the workshop, attendees revised the CIC mission statement and vision to better capture the way forward to continue commercial integration into operations.

What does it take to be a Supra Coder?

The U.S. Space Force launched its Supra Coder program in 2021 to capitalize on internal digital talent and better enable Guardians to create innovative software that would enhance warfighting capabilities. While most Guardians who apply for the program already have a basic level of programming skills, this is not a prerequisite, and did not deter Tech. Sgt. Anthony Caldemone, Missile Warning Center Systems Integration non-commissioned officer in charge.

A Guardian and His Saxophone

Sometimes even the simplest of hobbies or activities can evolve into a life-long passion. With determination, dedication, and a hint of luck, that passion can lead to the most unlikely of places, or participating in events that would not have been possible otherwise. Life is a musical journey, after all, and few understand that better than U.S. Space Force Maj. Derick Perry, U.S. Space Forces-Space financial management division chief. Originally from Fort Polk, Louisiana, discovered his passion early-on, played to the sweet tune of a bronzed alto saxophone.
